Like, knowing how to properly align your antennas.

Yes, it MATTERS how the antennas are positioned. In this case, dipole-omnis, they should all have the same polarization, and be facing the same direction - down.

Dipole-Omnis have a doughnut shaped pattern. So, if your antennas are horizontal with the ceiling, you essentialy have a doughnut-shape up and down (narrow). Set them down (perpendicular to the ceiling) the doughnut is now flat and wide, giving you much larger coverage area.
